Want To See Katy Perry: Part Of Me 3D?

music idols, like a virgin lyrics

When I was a kid my idol was Madonna in her Like A Virgin phase.

See anything inappropriate about a 7 year old singing

“Like a virgin, ooh, ooh
Like a virgin
Feels so gooooood inside”

Yeah, me neither.

Fishnets, bubble skirts and those eyebrows.

Whoa Mumma circa 1980 something, channeling Madonna with a dash of Miami Vice.

And because Madonna was my style icon, I sported a streaked and teased fringe with a spiral perm.

I don't think my hair's ever quite recovered from the 80s.

Lucky my girls can just throw on a wig to imitate their idols and don't have to suffer the instrument of torture that was Grandma's streaking cap.

Katy Perry Fans

Isn't she cool?

With 5 girls in the house, Katy Perry is on constant rotation on the Ipod and in the car.

Even The Chipmunks rock out to ‘Firework’  at the end of Chipwrecked (which FFS, I have now had to endure six bazillion times these school holidays).

The girls love her music, her positive energy, the blue hair and her fabulous costumes.  They're dying to see Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D these school holidays.  The movie is an inspiring, fly on the wall documentary and promises to make Katy's fans laugh, cry and sing.

I love her.  She's quirky and so darn sweet, I get cavities just from watching her.

Miss Jasmine can hardly contain her excitement every time the trailer comes on.

Katy Perry fans, role model

“Can I have blue hair mum?”

“Boom Boom Boom!  Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon!”

Who I used to sing to? Myself.

Now I sing to my baby girl. (I waited to long to try to do it to my boys. They're old enough to leave the room now, even if I don't understand why.)

I once got busted by my ENTIRE family at a bbq at our house singing into my hairbrush and dancing in front of my mirror. After desperate attempts to block the whole horrifying ordeal from my memory I can't remember who it was I was singing to... Probably Madonna or Melissa Etheridge.

Definitely Madonna. Played my cassette tape (wow that sounds old!!) over and over and still remember all of the words when occasionally they play her old songs on the radio!

I was a huge Madonna fan and would sing along sometimes with my hairbrush as a prop...and I knew a few on the dance moves as well lol.

For reasons that escape me now, as an 8 yr old I LOVED Dolly Pardon. I could belt out D.I.V.O.R.C.E like a pro!! And Jolene, oh Jolene!! Such good memories.

Oh dear god! I must be the oldest person here. I used to sing into my brush along with...wait for it....Herman's Hermits. I loved them! Also The Seekers,(I wanted to sound just like Judith Durham)and The Everly Brothers. And the Chiffons! - "Will you still love me tomorrow".
Sadly, I sing badly, can't carry a tune not even if you gave it to me in a cup.

Would have to be Madonna! I remember rocking an AWFUL Madonnaesque costume for a party back in 1985 and I have icky memories of trying to look up virgin in the school library because I didn't know what it meant!!!

I was a WHAM fan, a huge one really, knew every word to every song and pretty much still do. But then moved onto Madonna and still love her old songs and singing to them (with a hairbrush, they make the best microphones). :)
